The Lark
Located at 809 West Second Street, The Lark’s primary purpose is to serve as home to The Listening Room concert series; in addition, we plan to rent this space for meetings and receptions for groups as intimate as a few and up to 100.
The Lark will feature a full-service bar showcasing regional wines and beers. Our catering kitchen will make it easy to provide food for any event from art classes, music recitals, local meetings and celebrations to fundraisers, Arts Council programming, small conventions and group tours.
Our current fundraising campaign will fund the first phase of development targeting the first floor of the building, making aesthetic improvements, but mainly focusing on satisfying the building and fire codes necessary to open our doors to the public. Currently vacant, the building is owned by the Community Redevelopment Authority, which is funding renovation of the building’s facade. The Listening Room has leased the building for one year, with the option and intention of purchasing it.
